Honouring Six Canadian Cities with Exclusive World Cup Illustrations
Challenge
Coca-Cola Canada was preparing to celebrate its partnership with the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup, the first time the brand was involved with the event. They needed a memorable and engaging way to connect with Canadian audiences, highlighting the six host cities and commemorating the tournament through collectible packaging.
Solution
As an experienced Illustrator, I took on both a creative leadership and hands-on role. I collaborated with a Junior Designer, mentoring them through the refinement of their lead illustration. Leveraging my senior expertise, I conceptualized and executed custom illustrations for all six host cities, ensuring consistency across various packaging formats. I also led the development of additional elements for the limited-edition packaging, carefully adapting the designs to different printing techniques while preserving visual integrity and appeal.

The Result
The limited-edition cans, featuring my custom illustrations of the six host cities, became a standout element of Coca-Cola’s World Cup Trophy Tour. The packaging not only visually captured the excitement of the event but also reinforced Coca-Cola’s commitment to supporting women in sports, creating a memorable connection with consumers. The success of this campaign elevated the brand's visibility and strengthened its association with the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
